Hindsight
I wake up in a daze and my life flashes before my eyes,
I see people who surround me as I lay in a bed of disease,
I vaguely remember one man but sometimes my mind lies,
I cannot remember.
I stare into a woman's eyes and they give warm love,
But yet I cannot remember her name.
I silently pray for a savior from above,
My mind misgives me.
A black ring begins to form around the edge of my vision,
A young girl whose name I forget leans over to hug me,
I close my eyes for they are blurry and wait for redemption,
I feel a slight touch on my forehead as if a kiss
The light is before me………I am at peace.
