Creating Characters

Character creation starts with the generation of 6 ability scores which determine the type of character class that a player will play. Each ability score is determined by rolling 3d6.

Strength

Strength measures your character's muscle and physical power. When using a melee weapon, you can use your Strength Bonus to modify your Base Attack Bonus.

Dexterity

Dexterity measures hand-eye coordination, agility, reflexes, and balance. When using a ranged weapon, you can use your Dexterity Bonus to modify your Base Attack Bonus.

Constitution

Constitution represents your character's health and stamina. A Constitution bonus increases a character's hit points, so the ability is important for all classes.

1-6 -1 from each HD
7-8 40-50% chance of survival
9-12 60-90% chance of survival
13-14 Will withstand adversity
15+ +1 to each HD

Intelligence

Intelligence determines how well your character learns and reasons.

Wisdom

Wisdom describes a character's willpower, common sense, perception, and intuition. While Intelligence represents one’s ability to analyze information, Wisdom represents being in tune with and aware of one's surroundings.

Charisma

Charisma measures a character's force of personality, persuasiveness, personal magnetism, ability to lead, and physical attractiveness. This ability represents actual strength of personality, not merely how one is perceived by others in a social setting.

It's primary function is to determine the number of people that can be employed by a character
